| Overview: |
The Director of Software Development provides tactical direction and overall management to multiple technical project (development) teams in support of the creation and on-going maintenance of Teletracking's proprietary commercial software solutions and product lines. This position will direct the daily activities of technical project managers, technical architects, software engineers and build/configuration managers and includes other duties related to product development.

| Responsibilities: |
1. Manages the day to day activities of multiple technical teams.
2. Managers the .NET, client/server (legacy) and reporting services software engineering teams in working effectively and efficiently to meet project goals.
3. Leads the development and deployment of software application projects according to product roadmaps.
4. Facilitates the creation of reliable project schedules and resource requirement projections.
5. Coordinates the evolution of technical designs and code components to support detailed specifications and functional/non-functional requirements.
6. Participates in the creation of end to end architecture, technical designs, code components and coding standards for enterprise-scalable web applications.
7. Solves technical hurdles as they occur.
8. Facilitates and directly participates in periodic code reviews as needed to insure high quality deliverables.
9. Facilitates end-to-end unit and integration testing.
10. Supervises the application build/configuration process.
11. Participates in recruitment and selection of team members/technical staff.
12. Coaches and provides direction to team members and conducts ongoing and annual performance evaluation.
13. Facilitates resolution of critical issues referred by internal support and quality teams.
14. Participates in budget planning and projections.
15. Identifies potential issues and risks as well as technical/non-technical mitigation strategies.
16. Prepares status reports as required.
17. Performs other responsibilities and duties as required

| Qualifications: |
1. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business or related discipline.
2. Ten or more years of experience in software development and project management
3. Three or more years experience leading software engineers in the development of software products
4. Three or more years experience in object oriented design and programming, web based business application design and development
5. Must have experience with ASP.NET/SQL Server development .
6. Must have experience with .NET architecture / technical design.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Normal office conditions, works in Pittsburgh office, occasional travel. AA/EOE
